Apoorva Gupta

Project Associate, NHA

Apoorva is a student of political science who pivoted from academic research to policy and programme management. She completed her post-graduation in Political Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University and her graduation in Political Science from Hindu College, University of Delhi.

She has always been fascinated by governance mechanism and developmental discourse and wanted to complement her theoretical understanding with extensive fieldwork in order to have her ears on the ground. This led her to spend two years working with Government of Punjab as a District Development Fellow where she supported the State and District Administration across multiple flagship government schemes and domains including Health, Gender, Education and Skill Development, and Urban Development while being subsumed within the government system. To further her understanding of public health and to drive scalable solutions, she later joined Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) where she was working with the Diagnostic and Surveillance Team to help optimise and bring efficiency to disease surveillance mechanisms in Madhya Pradesh.

Her search for newer and complex problems brings her to IIC where she hopes to leverage her past experiences and contribute to the evolving digital health landscape of the country.
