Project Associate, Karnataka Digital Health

With a degree in Information Science Engineering from PESIT, Bangalore, Ashish worked as a Software Engineer mainly in the banking and finance domain. In his stint with Perfios, he worked on developing Digital Public Goods built over the Open Credit Enablement Network (OCEN) to democratise credit flow to MSMEs and enhance financial inclusion. Having understood the power of technology and policy to solve wicked problems at scale, he was drawn to delivering social impact.

The Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship gave him the perfect opportunity to segue into the development sector. Equipped with training in Public Policy and Management from IIM-B, he worked closely with the District Administration of Chikkaballapur, Karnataka at the grassroots level to strengthen the local skilling ecosystem leading to better employment and means of livelihood for the youth.

At IIC, Ashish is working with the Department of Health and Family Welfare Services, Government of Karnataka, on Digital Health strategies and initiatives to make public offerings the first choice for quality healthcare. He aims to leverage his problem-solving skills and technical expertise to create impactful and meaningful contributions through his work.
