Nilav Kumar Pyne

Project Lead, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare

Nilav has more than 6 years of experience in the social impact sector and an extensive background of working with multiple stakeholders in the development space. An engineer by education, he entered the education sector in 2014 as a Teach For India Fellow where he taught in a low-income Government school in the Jahangirpuri area of Delhi.

He then moved to work with the National Recruitment team wherein he led the strategy and outreach for colleges in North India. His final role with Teach For India was with the Alumni Impact team where he worked towards building sustainable partnerships with multi-party stakeholders and creating an ecosystem of support and learning for the Alumni community in the region.

In his first year at IIC, he worked with the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh to implement and operationalise a state-wide EdTech project in Government schools in the state. He currently leads an urban health resilience project with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. With a keen interest in the domain of governance, he envisions to utilize his skills to drive robust policy formulation and implementation which can drive impact to the last mile.
