Rishika Mody

Project Lead, Telengana Governance Project

Rishika is drawn to the impactful cross-pollination of business and social impact. After working with D.E.Shaw & Co. for two years, she pivoted to the impact space through the social enterprise route - helping tech social startups build solutions in livelihoods, renewable energy and agriculture. To further her understanding of social enterprises, serving the base of the pyramid, she joined the Self Employed Women's Association (SEWA). At SEWA, she helped build an accelerator and incubator for grassroots women enterprises and also led the expansion of a one-of-a-kind financial enterprise that employs women banking agents in the interiors of Uttarakhand and Punjab. She sees data and tech as powerful enablers to solving layered development problems and wishes to leverage these tools to redesign the imagination of scalable impact.

Rishika has a bachelor’s degree from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University and is driven by creating solutions and structures in complex environments. In her free time, she is on the lookout for disruptive business ideas, random trivia and new music.
