Siri Avalur

Project Lead, Telangana Governance Project

Siri is a Public Policy and Management graduate from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. She has 6 years of experience in planning, designing and implementing development projects in skill training, education, water and sanitation, migration and disability in the multiple states of India. Specifically, she has worked on UN Women action research project with Mine Labour Protection Campaign Trust, in Rajasthan. Prior to that, she has worked with Indiability Foundation on a sport for development Project. Previously, she has worked on designing and implementing a large-scale open school project with Pratham Education Foundation in Andhra and Telangana. As a part of India Fellows, she has worked with migrant workers in Rajasthan with Aajeevika Bureau on designing and implementing various services to ensure successful migration. As a part of the fellowship, she has also worked with Gram Vikas in Odisha as part of their Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation team on water and sanitation projects.

Siri, believes that good polices designed by keeping in mind multiple stakeholders can impact millions of lives in a dynamic country like India. At IIC, she is very keen to work alongside the government with an intersection of other cross-sectoral partners. She is particularly enthusiastic to work not only on evidence-based policy making but also on designing effective implementation mechanism to ensure last mile delivery of the set polices.
