Surbhi Arul

Associate Director

Surbhi believes that for developmental solutions to be truly impactful and sustainable, communities should have the agency to be involved and claim social impact that is the most meaningful for them. This requires them to be involved in the complete cycle from ideation and design to implementation. She is looking to engage in policy ideation, design, implementation and government liaison for greater social impact. She aims to work towards an inclusive, equitable, and humane world.

She is a post-graduate in Public Policy from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, and a graduate in Economics from Christ University. She is passionate about environmental justice and governance, and has a keen interest in livelihoods issues. Through her journey at IIC, she has been part of an education project and a livelihood project. Drawing on common principles across those projects of first mile approach, design for scale and equity in design and impact, she is embarking on a digital health project.
