We support the next generation of Tech Policy thought leaders in India who can collaborate with independent organizations and inform policies for a people centric digital future.
Do you seek to be a policy or business leader who grapples with the bigger questions on tech? The Young Leaders in Tech Policy Fellowship is a great opportunity for you.
YLT Fellowship is a two-year, full-time, immersive, and paid fellowship that sets you up to tackle the biggest issues in tech. Prepare for your application by building your innovation proposal based on one of these tech prompts.
Applications for cohort 2021 are now open
The world is at the brink of a technological revolution, and India is at the forefront. Technology has fundamentally reshaped how we interact with governments, businesses, and each other. Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain have evolved from buzzwords to everyday realities. Our lives have improved dramatically, and tech has enabled us to reach and serve more people, within India and globally, than ever before.
This is a brave new world, and risks and challenges such as algorithmic bias, lack of privacy, digital exclusion, cyber crime, misinformation, and online hate speech, have emerged. Unless contained, these issues can unhinge all the benefits of technology.
Policies and practices to govern technology are being written and re-written now. Choices we make today will determine the trajectory of mankind’s digital future for all times to come. This is why International Innovation Corps and Omidyar Network India are partnering to support the next generation of tech policy thought leaders.
This fellowship aims to recruit people with an engineering or tech education, and support them in becoming prominent leaders who grapple with complex strategic issues about tech. We are looking for the ambitious and the visionaries. Those who don’t want to just code, but learn to lead- as industry leaders, public intellectuals, and techies with the big ideas!
