Umesh is an IT engineer and has worked in an IT company for a couple of years. His passion for social impact led him into the development sector working on community participation and evidence-based development interventions. He explored this through his work as a consultant with Govt of Maharashtra’s rural development department in an innovative VSTF initiative. He set up the M&E framework, designed the MIS platform, enabling village panchayats to draft plans and track progress. Before this, he worked on community health research and service programs at SEARCH, Gadchiroli. He has completed a program in Public Policy, design and management from ISPP, New Delhi. He is co-founder, co-leader of the India chapter of EvalYouth, a network organization of Young evaluators across the globe.
