Shashwat Khemani
Program Lead
Shashwat brings a unique blend of strategic leadership, program management expertise, and a deep commitment to social impact to his role as Program Lead at the International Innovation Corps (IIC). With extensive experience in education, sustainability, and capacity-building initiatives, Shashwat has successfully led transformative projects across diverse sectors, both in India and internationally.
An alumnus of Babson College, Shashwat specialized in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, combining his business acumen with a passion for social innovation. He graduated with the Social Innovation Intensity Track, reflecting his commitment to leveraging business strategies for societal good.
Before joining IIC, Shashwat served as a Consultant at Leadership For Equity (LFE), where he worked closely with the Government of Maharashtra to design and implement large-scale innovations in education. His efforts focused on building sustainable systems and driving measurable improvements in education quality across the state.
Shashwat’s journey in social impact began with Teach For India (TFI), where he served as a Fellow and later as a Fellow Advisor. During his tenure, he achieved significant academic growth for students, raising literacy levels and ensuring a 100% pass rate in State Board English exams. Shashwat is deeply passionate about leveraging cross-sectoral partnerships and systems-level approaches to drive sustainable impact.
Beyond work, Shashwat is an advocate for community-led development and inclusive decision-making. His international experiences—including volunteering at the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics and consulting for social enterprises in the U.S.—have shaped his perspective on the importance of global collaboration in tackling systemic challenges.
